Dr. Hamed Jamshidi is a Mechanical Engineer at the forefront of advancing Electric Vehicle thermal solutions as a Technical Expert in the Thermal Management Department at Volvo Cars. With a Ph.D. from Chalmers University of Technology, his expertise lies in Experimental and Computational Fluid & Thermodynamics, Thermal Simulation, and Thermal System Design. Proficient in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Hamed conducts comprehensive heat transfer analysis through both 1D and 3D methods. His doctoral research at Chalmers focused on the Experimental and Numerical Study of Cooling Systems and Thermal Characteristics of Hydro-electric Generators. Beyond research, his skills span HVAC System Design, Mechanical Design, FEM Analysis, and system control.
Hamed's industrial journey includes roles as a Test Engineer, Control Engineer, and CAE Engineer. With a commitment to innovation, he continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of EV thermal management at Volvo Cars.
